POINT 02

Even with the same implants, no two breasts are the same.

Breast augmentation is a surgery that reshapes the size and form of the breasts using implants. Every individual's rib cage, skin, and tissue conditions are unique. The type and size of the implant, the incision site, and the placement plane are determined only after carefully assessing these individual differences. Furthermore, surgery does not end in the operating room. It is truly complete only when the implants have settled naturally into place and the scars have faded.

POINT 03

Incision Sites

Axillary (Armpit) Incision
TYPE 01

Axillary (Armpit) Incision

Made along the natural creases of the armpit, leaving no visible scars on the breast. Dissection is performed under direct endoscopic visualization.

Inframammary Fold (IMF) Incision
TYPE 02

Inframammary Fold (IMF) Incision

Made along the natural crease beneath the breast. As it allows direct visual dissection, it is the most precise technique, offering convenient postoperative care and a relatively rapid recovery.

Periareolar Incision
TYPE 03

Periareolar Incision

Made along the border of the areola so the scar blends naturally into the margin. Suitable for breast lift (mastopexy) corrections and revision surgeries.

POINT 05

Implant Placement Plane

Dual Plane
TYPE 01

Dual Plane

The upper portion of the implant is covered by muscle, and the lower portion by glandular tissue. This minimizes implant edge visibility in the upper breast where soft tissue coverage is thin. Recommended for lean patients or those with thinner breast tissue.

Subfascial / Subglandular
TYPE 02

Subfascial / Subglandular

The implant is placed above the muscle. Because the muscle remains undisturbed, pain is minimized, recovery is faster, and the implant does not distort with muscle movement. Recommended for active individuals with adequate tissue thickness.

Doctor's Comment

"Breasts that harmonize naturally with your body are truly beautiful breasts."

Great results do not come from size alone. We carefully evaluate the natural proportions of your body and the unique characteristics of your rib cage to find the optimal combination for you. It has long been my philosophy that the body should never be forced to fit an implant. Achieving results from surgery that never look operated—that is what I have pursued for many years.

TYPE 02

Striving for Optimal Results Through Meticulous and Precise Dissection

Endoscopic transaxillary breast surgery is performed while visualizing tissue structures in real time. Greater visibility translates to reduced unnecessary tissue damage and preservation of essential anatomy.
· Wolf type Features a bimanual operative design, utilized for delicate, meticulous dissection.
· Delmar type (Storz) Integrates a camera and coagulator tip to minimize tissue contact and bleeding.

Aiming to Minimize Capsular Contracture with a No-Touch Technique
TYPE 03

Aiming to Minimize Capsular Contracture with a No-Touch Technique

When inserting the implant, contact with surgical gloves and the skin is minimized. Placed in a dedicated insertion funnel, it is delivered directly into the precise position. Each funnel is strictly single-use, with a brand-new device opened for every patient.

Layer-by-layer closure and knotless suturing create refined, discreet scars
TYPE 04

Layer-by-layer closure and knotless suturing create refined, discreet scars

Without any exposed sutures on the skin surface, the incision is closed internally across at least three distinct layers. Barbed sutures, which maintain tension over an extended period, prevent the incision line from widening during healing. The incision heals into a clean, straight line, and there are no stitches to remove.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.1

How is the implant size decided? Can I choose my desired size?

Implant size is determined based on your personal goals, within the range that your chest width, skin elasticity, and tissue coverage can safely accommodate. At Amorata Plastic Surgery, we narrow down the options through precise body measurements and implant fitting, prioritizing harmony with your overall physique over sheer size. This is because the same implant can yield entirely different results depending on individual body anatomy.
Q.2

Will it look obvious that I had surgery, or will it feel unnatural to the touch?

Natural feel and appearance depend on the type of implant, the placement plane, and the thickness of your own natural tissue. In individuals with thinner tissue, implant edges can become more noticeable; therefore, we often consider placing the implant in a plane with greater tissue coverage, such as the dual-plane approach, or combining it with fat grafting. The ideal combination is determined during your consultation after evaluating your tissue characteristics.
Q.3

Is breast augmentation very painful? Do I need to be hospitalized?

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia, ensuring no pain during the procedure, and as a rule, patients return home the same day after resting in the recovery room. The first 2 to 3 days post-surgery are typically the most uncomfortable, followed by gradual improvement, and the discomfort is usually well controlled with prescribed pain medication. The degree of pain may vary depending on the placement plane and individual pain tolerance.
Q.4

When can I return to work? What about exercise?

Most patients with desk jobs return to work within 3 to 5 days. Light walking is possible within a few days, but wide arm movements and upper-body workouts should be introduced gradually starting 3 to 4 weeks post-surgery. Recovery speed may vary depending on the incision site and the placement plane of the implant.
Q.5

Do implants last a lifetime? When should they be replaced?

If there are no specific issues, there is no predetermined replacement schedule. However, because implants are semi-permanent medical devices, regular check-ups are essential to monitor their condition. If abnormalities such as capsular contracture or rupture are detected, appropriate treatment or revision surgery will be determined based on your condition at that time.
Q.6

Can I get pregnant or breastfeed in the future?

Yes, the implant is placed beneath the mammary gland tissue or beneath the muscle, residing in a space completely separate from your milk-producing glands. However, pregnancy and breastfeeding can alter breast volume and shape, so if you are planning a pregnancy in the near future, it is advisable to discuss the timing of your surgery during your consultation.
